When I paint, I work to capture an unrehearsed moment of someone’s life … a snap shot in time frozen with no context.
It is an opportunity for me to show what I feel. As said…pictures tell a thousand words. I’m an outsider looking in on human activity of no particular importance. Eating, sleeping, thinking…. everyday stuff. I don’t want poses, nor mirror faces. I want the in between stuff; the candid shots that aren’t always becoming when one’s not looking at themselves. - Bob Richardson
